Vickie Jackson, Project Manager for RealEstateAuctions.com in northeast Atlanta
RealEstateAuctions.com strengthens its team in the Atlanta market with the addition of Vickie Jackson in the role of Project Manager.
Vickie’s responsibilities as Project Manager include, among other duties, the prospecting and listing of virtually all types of real estate for auction, as well as marketing, preparing CMAs (Comparative Market Analysis), preparing Bidder Information Packets (BIPs), servicing inquiries from potential bidders and conducting open house inspections.
Vickie works under Stacey Arthur, Team Leader in Atlanta and State Broker for the company. To say that Vickie is enthusiastic about her new position would be a considerable understatement.
“I’m so excited,” she says with an obvious eagerness that comes through loud and clear in a long-distance telephone chat. “I am ready! I told my team leader ‘When can we start’?”
Vickie has been a Georgia-licensed real estate sales professional since 2009 and is a real estate investor. ”I’m very familiar with the bidding process,” she says. “I bought a total of six condos that way.”
But, Vickie is quick to point out, the bidding process that many consumers take part in around Atlanta is not quite the same as a real estate auction.
“People really do love to bid, but with HomePath and HUD-owned properties you can’t see all the bids and that’s what people don’t like,” she says. “Real estate auctions are more transparent. Whether in person or online, everyone sees exactly what is taking place in terms of bidding during a real estate auction.”
Vickie Jackson likes auctions not only because of the openness and excitement they offer, but because it is simply a much faster and direct connection between buyers and sellers, as opposed the more traditional model of real estate sales that many people are used to.
“Those days of ‘I’ll pick you up at 3 o’clock and we’ll ride around and look at houses’ are gone,” she says.
Vickie had a long career in financing and accounting before entering real estate. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia, she held positions of increasing responsibility within her field, eventually becoming the accounting manager for an Atlanta firm and then bookkeeper in all areas of finance in the Dekalb County School System, Decatur, Georgia. She considers herself to be highly detail-oriented yet prides herself on being able to key in on the big picture.
As Project Manager for RealEstateAuctions.com, Vickie will focus her efforts on the northeast area of Atlanta, including Gwinett, Rockdale, Walton and Newton counties.
